are they any good, fit, quality, build etc. Just need to know as cant decide to repair, source good old ones or go for these. Any help or guidance would be appreciated

Not a fan myself, od rather go OG US import doors myself(Better external lines???).
If you are fitting all of your original internals, windows locks etc be warned, there are a few differences.

Had a 74 Bay before the one i have now and baught a pair of second hand doors for it. Got the van and doors resprayed and realised there were a few differences.
One of the vertical window channels that i had taken out of my old doors wouldnt fit in my newly painted doors. So i had to take a Mig welder to my freshly painted doors to fit the suitable bracket on.
Also the inner lock button was different aswell. My original doors had the lock lever (inside) just above the pull lever to open the door.
The ones i had painted had a hole in the top to accept a push up/down button for locking the doors from the inside.

Hope this all makes sense^^^

P.S Dont buy ANY rubbers from JK as they are the poorest quality ive ever seen on the market.
Use Status or C&C for those.

I agree with Hoosier, there are plenty used original doors out there that will need a little fettling then look as good as new and fit as was intended. That said I have yet to see one of the JK door fitted, but there are bound to be issues fitting one to an Early.

Go to somewhere that stock second hand gen-u-wine doors. Somewhere like FBI (other stockists are available  )

Another thing to consider is they have holes for the top locks which you can either ignore, weld up or plug.

And I have a pair that just will not fit. I pride myself on cab door and arch fitting, but these just won't and I do expect to have to make an effort!
I got some cali doors instead which fitted straight on with no shims. I'm not saying they're all bad but these were/are.

When my doors needed to be replaced I used a pair supplied by FBI and I can't recommend them highly enough 8) they arrived on time, as promised, well packaged and just as described.

Like others have said sometimes the new stuff is good but by and large you can't beat original parts for fit and quality especially chrome :!:

cheers for the heads up people and saving me money with buying the just kampers doors.

so I will mainly be searching for a pair of good doors this show season.

Looking forward to it

Having said this I had the chance to have a good look at one the other week being fitted to a bus and I was impressed with the quality. Not year correct for an early but good nontheless. Quick plug I got at least one '68 door for sale :msn4:
