sorry to hear it fella. I lost mine last year it was on lay up insurance and got paid out. it took me three days before I could go and see mine. hope it all comes good for you.

I know the exact feeling your going to fella, i lost my '72 RHD deluxe sunroof in a garage fire. Well just to let you know there is light at the end of the tunnel i am now the proud owner of a '71 LHD deluxe micro bus it did take every single last penny and drop of blood we had but it worth it. Don't lose faith it will happen.

mate i expect it's most peoples nightmare, hope you can pull some positives from this crappy situation.

Sorry Lee C that's insensitive, though I know it was not meant that way that's how it reads.

I had my van nicked a year ago this week. I've just been back to the same campsite I last used my old van on. It's a great van, really good, but however good I still miss key things about the old one. I still keep thinking 'had that in the old van'. Get over it? Yes, I am in a way.

Hope you find something to suit gizzy. Don't rush but do get another van! I found the prices suddenly becoming more sensible as it turned from August to September.

Don't worry, the smiley things showed your meaning. I didn't understand how rough you feel when your van's gone until mine as nicked, something I'll never fully get over. I still have the original VW service log, know all the owners bar two (one in the mists of time and the b*****d who has it now!), plus the old numberplate on the wall of the garage and loads of pics & memories. Gone but not forgotten!
