Just had an email from Screwfix (NOT the dating agency) with their latest special offers. They have a set of four spirit levels starting off with a small torpedo level to an 1800 long tall level plus two in between plus a carry bag for twenty five quid ! I’d check each level before leaving the shop with a double switch check but what a bargain. I have paid more than that for a small level twenty plus years ago. anybody that does any DIY, these will be fab. But double check them before you leave the shop.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,bet they’re not there long. :) :):)

To quickly and accurately check a level in a shop. Place level on counter and see if the counter is level, if it is, then switch the level around 180’ left to right or right to left and then place it in the same position, it should read level again. If the counter or top isn’t level, then slide something under the low side until it shows level, like a packet of *** papers or possibly a pen, depends how far out of level it is, then once it shows level, switch around.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,The bubbles need to be glued really :) :ROFLMAO: :)

Yes my long level is a bit out (have another better make) but it makes a great straight edge/marker.
