Came on here read all the usual tricks , Cut a rubber , Break 1/4 window , Try different keys , Try tailgate that's open lol and no didn't like those ideas !!!!!!

So looked through window lovingly at my keys then it hit me !!!

Got a long rod a metre or so slid it up through the floor under the accelerator pedal up to the key ring , gave it a jerk , BINGO !!!! Keys slid down the pole into the accelerator opening then with a pair of long nose pliers managed to retrieve keys !!!! So No damage to van,No new Keys needed and best of all NO EMBARRASSMENT to tell the always right wife :)

All you have to do is drill out the rivet that holds the opening quarter light in place and it lifts straight out. Of course you do need opening quarter lights to do this and you will need to replace the rivet or put a cheeky nut and bolt in 8)

I found a spare set of keys in my engine bay inside a magnetic box only found it by accident though

I got into the habit of locking my doors without the keys (press the lock down, hold the handle and shut door) when I had my late bay

I did it so often I used to keep a screw driver in a safe place on the underside of the van so when it happen I could remove the offside front indicator and reach through to either open the door or retrieve the keys from the ignition
