Lowered Bus Tyre Combos _ Pics please

What combination of tyres do you run on your lowered bus, and how much is it lowered by?? Pics if you got em please :wink:

My new bus is going down on dropped spindles 2.5", plus a few more inches with beam adjusters, rear on horshoes plates 2 3/4", not sure if any more yet.

Will be running gas burners

This is running stock commerical tyres. Not because of the load ratings etc, but because I think big tyres look good in the wheelarch.

bus is about 4 or 5" lowered, would be a lot lower if it had low profiles on, but I consider them to be cheating

All I need now are spindles to drop it another couple of inches. The 4" narrowed beam keeps the wheels away from the arches.

I'm not saying that you ought to run full profile tyres, just that really really low profile tyres can look a bit lost in the wheelarch

I spent ages pondering this decision too!

My bus is approx 4" lowered on Empi 5's. I wanted to keep the rear wheels as near to stock gearing to keep the RPM's sensible on the motorway and allow for reasonable clearance up front whilst still filling the arches.
After looking at loads of buses at shows etc and talking to owners I settled for:
Front - 195/55 R15
Rear - 195/65 R15

Been pleased with this combo

Was like that when I got it - never been too sure whether I liked it or not? :?
Will be getting the whole van painted later this year once the resto is finished..... and I've no current plans to re-detail the vents like that again.
