Manifolds

I have a rebuilt stock engine with Weber ICH twin carbs, but I'm not happy with the reliability of this set up. I'll probably go with a recon engine from the vw engine company with a single carb. I havent decided on the size of engine yet.

If I go back to a stock W. German Solex, what are the chances of sourcing a stock manifold? What other bits of stock do I need to source?

Adrian @ The VW Engine company would advise you but if you go bigger than 1641 you would require twin carb set up anyway presumably on a type1 engine

Well I might arrange to have the solex machined up to 37mm, matched up with a 1776. Or go with a 1600 with a new ICT carb.
