mdf kick panels

Hi.A little while ago i asked the question about mounting speakers in my single cab.Some of you said you used mdf and covered it with acoustic cloth.Thanks for that,but could you tell me the best thickness to get,so i can bent it but also so it will obviously be thick enough not to rattle,if ya know what i mean!
