hello all

i can see to find anyone who makes the mesh to go behind the front grill for an early bay, were they fitted with one ???

also why won't a late bay one fit??

has anyone made one ??

regards

jimthebin???

they were fitted with one and the best option is a late with a very minor bit of fettling to fit..... I think its Matyd that has fitted a late one not 100% on that though

NOS ones come up rarely.... and when they do I keep missing them...

if your just looking for some kind of mesh B&Q sell a few different types. Cut it to shape spray it black or whatever colour you want for that matter  and wire it in place.

Cheep alternative I guess but I'm sure VW heritage sell something on their performance side.

I got the fine stainless mesh for mine from a specialist metal stockholder at my local auto jumble for a couple of quid. Always cheaper to cut out the middle man.
