I am currently listening to the live special on Radio 1 -

Surely a band that have been together this long should be tighter than this?

I am a massive metal fan but this is just poor - 'for whom the bell tolls' sounds like a pub covers band!

I like Metallica but a few years ago at Reading i was so unimpressed i left to go and eat chinese instead!
Some bands are awesome live others are best left in the studio, of course everyone can have a bad day

'tallica lost my interest with their attitude towards music sharing. You would think a band of that size and wealth wouldnt care if 'you lent your mate their cd' and was more bothered about your mate liking the album and going to a Metallica gig................. But no.

Saw them at leeds the other month, I was quite disappointed.. And the year before that, the Red hot chilli peppers were awful! People pay a lot to see these on their own tour, and if they played the way they did when i saw them, I'd find a way to ask them personally for a refund!

Finished now these lads. I think that they should hang up their hair pieces and spend the millions they have crow barred into their bank accounts

Just been listrening to the live gig on the I player, I thought it sounds cool. They are allways a lot sloppier live, especially as Lars is quite a sloppy drummer. "For Whom....." actually did sound a bit crap but the rest is sounding ok to me.

I know Metallica got a lot of haters after the "St. Anger" album but I think even the band has admitted that it was a crap album!! I'm really encouraged by the new stuff I've heard!! :D
