MOST UNUSUAL/RAREST EARLY BAY IN THE WORLD VW EA 489

I saw these pickups a while back in turkey. it seems to mix early and late bay bits but is mid engined! Dash looks to be kinda baywindow( i managed to get chased by a turkish madman while as i opened the door to snap some pics!) and how about that strange front grille?
Surely someone's gotta get one of these badboys back ere as they seemed to be quite a few about! The script on the front says vw 489 and looks to be vw?!?

Just imagine...Slammed all the way, fuchs or brm's, lowlight bumpers,bit more chrome...Can anyone do a photoshop on one!
