Just going through some pre mot checks  and need a bit of guidance from those in the know.
my front disks are pitted quite badly which is now quite evident since fitting my porsche rims where as before with stock rims they are not visible, now the thing is the last mot it went through fine on these disks as you couldnt see them  :?: but will it fail on a visual check :?: or is it a rolling road check.

Thanks in advance

Simply put yes but if it went through last time as is are they still good for another season :?:

Just to add, being a 71 are the discs 1 year only and are they available new if i need some, had a look on jk and not sure what i need :? (think they are earlys) cheers.

Disks are available from GSF - part number 601VG0650 I think (your calipers should be stamped '71' if that's the case). About £40 each.

;)

cheers j&m will try and look see tommorow, just trying to watch the pennys at the mo (being tight again) :D  ;) hence the trying not to admit to myself that the old discs are nearing there end kind of thinking.

It should be about their performance on the rolling road, as long as they brake well and evenly the shouldn't be any problem. You could mention it before it goes in to see what they advise.
