I got the flaps through FB marketplace long wait with Royal Mail though. Butty Bits for the brackets are very good service.I’ve got some to go on and I got the Buttys brackets while I was on there checking out his stickers a short while back. The list just keeps growing don’t it.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,I don’t got that flash VW on mine though.
The real easy fix for that is cleanup the area then don’t put any more oil in .I got the flaps through FB marketplace long wait with Royal Mail though. Butty Bits for the brackets are very good service.
Next job oil leak
Gabs.
Done the cleaning up with some carb/break cleaner so I will see what’s happening also think I have a slight weep at the rocker covers as oil on the heater- exchangers. The real easy fix for that is cleanup the area then don’t put any more oil in .
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,might not be recommended though.
Ooow mines a dry engine!!!!no drips after 4000 miles. Mainly down to the 4.5 mm Cork gaskets I got from ebay. Regular thickness ones leak all the time. Totally recommend the thicker ones.To be fair, you very rarely see an aircooled engine with dust on it like you would on an old A Series engine for example. Mine dosent tend to mark its spot in the garage but it does have a drip that needs to be wiped off occasionally, a bit more like a snotty nose than a full blown cold.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,lots of expansions and contractions
I've been using those for a few years now, leak free.Sorry they are 5mm thick sold by Shirley9293
