Started to fit some speakers in the front doors, got one fitted then realised how bad the doors actually are, so decided to buy some rust free doors.

Had a re-think and not sure if I want to mod, my new doors.

Does anyone have info about where the best/easisest place to install them in the front cab would be.

Doors V Dash.

There's room in the door panels for component speakers, just measure up properly and don't forget the check strap like I did.

Mine are 13cm components.

Personally I don't think kick panels are rigid enough to hold speakers and won't sound that good.

I run a pair of JBL 5 1/4" mid & tweeter in the front. It is part of a bigger system & can only be described as, er, LOUD!

Anyone that was around at the VolksWorld show might be able to vouch for it.

I run 6x9's in the back with an amp & 15" sub in the buddy seat.

Use a sub & it will make up for the lack of bass from the front.

I want to fit some speakers into the ply headlining when I get around to doing it. Anyone fitted speakers there?
Not done this (or seen it) but surely there will be an issue with the depth of the speakers?
I've seen speakers fitted into a rear overhead locker and they looked 8)

Like the look of the speakers in the doors.
Got one finished last night, just need to get the drivers side done now.

What is the insulation you used inside the door panels.

Don't forget a new plastic liner to cover the back of the speakers.
