Yep its a bargian.
It was found by my brother who`s a taxi driver.
I first contacted the owner in August last year and a deal was struck for £450.The owner then "disapered" until April this year when he needed money to go travelling,also it was parked on the road with no tax and the council were wanting to tow it away pronto.
So £350 changed hands and here we are.
It started first time with a jump but had no gears so with a new battery and fixed linkage it starts and drives.
This is my first VW resto but I have been into 2cv`s for 8 years and have become handy with a MIG welder.
The plan is to be ready for the Sussex VW club bash at Chalvington in August and may be go to Vanfest.

did he get scared by the big holes?


it went to a bloke near manchester after him, then to me...
oh well, its in safe (ish) hands now.

admittedly it was in a much better state when i got it, visually at least.

the bloke found me on the JK forum when i first started the project and sent me these pics.
