well today i started back at work..... ever had one of those days?

got to work half an hour early, got told theres your van can you change that flat, so first job swap the tyre...no biggie
then the tail lift wouldnt work so i had to tinker with that.. again no biggie.
then "wheres your steel toe caps? well im a driver not a builder so i borrowed a pair.
then im ready to go, vans loaded, no fuel in it, no fuel card and no one has any cash... now im wondering what im doing here
finally we find some cash and im off.... for 30 minutes.
get down by brands hatch and im doing 30miles an hour at 6000RPM, clutch is slipping like a b***h! so i have to try and get it the ten miles back which takes nearly two hours!
swap the bits n bobs onto another van and its nearly 12-30, i started at 8 and havent got anywhere.
this vans is a bit better so do my drops all over surrey after getting the correct addresses as my delivery sheets were printed with the wrong ones
got back to the depot nearly 6o/c running on fumes.

so to all those who said good luck with the new job, thank you but i dont know if i can take a week of this

oh and i dropped my flask of tea down me...should have stayed in bed!

thought you said you had done driving before you sound crap at it, giving the van a flat then breaking the lifty thingy at the back then not messing up the clutch.....hehehehe

Still after the first week things also get better :D

:D

Everything else I could have lived with, but wasted tea would have pushed me over the edge.

so...the plan to start touring the world with your midgets seems a good option then?!

hope the week gets better :D

thats a plop first day fella

hope all gets better.

I would do the travelling VW mechanic, you could go from county to county in your van staying at the customers (saving on hotels etc) and stay to fix what ever they need doing! great plan for an ace job!..................Hang on a min i wanna do that!

thanks for the support guys, tomorrow i will mainly go to work in my cowboy hat and boots so as to fit in!
