Maroon pug 205 1.1. Had saved 500 notes as a yts printer, been looking at beetles and mrk 1 golfs but my dad and bro thought it was a good idea to surprise me by buying ME a car with MY MONEY so i ended up with the pug  . To be fair it was immaculate and got me to work at 6.30am every morning which the beetle i bought afterwards failed to do on numerous occassions :)

good question - my first car was a 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500 - then had a few mini's, another spitfire e.t.c. - so getting a German bus is going to be a change from british engineering!

Sadly no pics - what did we all do before digital cameras and phones?

;)

Oh and don't forget about 10 motorbikes. all of these in 15 years.

God only knows if these pics are any good, was within a mm of smashing the pc to bits 'cos it would not and will not do as it should.

But anyway, pics or not, this was my first car, a 1956 Mk1 Ford Consul complete with bench seat and 'three on the tree'. I was only 15 at the time and yes, it was old even then! Always wanted, and still do now, a Ron Harris built Mk1 Zephyr. The Consul, latterly with Corsair 2000E engine, 'box and axle was as close as I got!!
Was known locally as 'The Red-oxide Monster' because of the paint and straight through exhaust exiting just in front of the NSR wheel! The red Anglia 105E, (had 2 white ones, 1 red!) a 1962 model, ended up with a 1600GT Kent X-flow, the same 2000E 'box but the stock diff, smoked the tyres in the first THREE gears!! The 3.77 diff had gone into Robs 300E van, still in it as far as I know. Also had a '67 Devon Splitty (bought for £250, sold for £400, big profit, pleased at the time.......) a '69 Fastback (went to Le-Mans in that, 1988) and LOADS of boring /embarrasing others due to working in a garage/used car dealers. Such as 1.3 Marina saloon, 1750 HL Allegro (nice velour trim), 1256 HC Viva estate. Actually, not as many crap cars as I thought, just that the crap ones really were crap!!!!!!!

Had a 1977 VW Derby 1.3 GLS - cracking little car followed up by;
Polo 1.3CL
Polo 1.6GL
Golf 1.6 SE
Golf 2.3 V5
Polo 1.9tdi Sport
Skoda Fabia VRS
Skoda Roomster Scout
VW Tiguan 2.0 TDi Sport (sold that last March)

Currently driving my wifes Smart car, till my bus is ready :) Have to say the Fabia was the best of the lot...

Wow - that van is in the clouds, was it raised??

;)

No, but it did used to sit back end heavy because it had the Type 4 engine. It was one of the first crossies with that engine, infact the very first Type 4 one sold in Pompey, and I guess with later ones they must have modified the suspension slightly, to bring them onto more of an even keel! :D

My first ride is my westy, I brought it when i was 18 and i'm 20 now :D

Ego and me got it right first time when it comes to buying motors
