Sorry to anyone I'd said I'd meet!

ouch

ill be packing a full set of inner and outer bearing and the tools to change it after seeing this

your bus looks hard

Yeah, I stocked up on bearings yesterday!

Word of warning, don't tighten your hubnuts too tight or this happens! Remeber to set the right amoutn of play 0.0003"
And if you're going to do a roadside repair, make sure you have a heat gun and puller with you.
My outer bearing was heat seized on!

What a bugger! Its hard to know just how many spares & tools to take in the bus? Im gonna be packing some bearings after this for sure! I hate giving in to the recovery truck so I go overkill sometimes with socket sets and trolly jacks :? We should put a list together of tools/spares to take.
Awesome looking bus you've got there by the way!

On the plus side, my new motor ran sweet all the way, sat at 80mph no problems and still pulls nice to overtake etc. 8)

shame about the bearing dood :( , but result on the engine 8)

Mine aint lo but atleast it go   Only jokin mate

Gutted for ya but like you say first run for engine and glad all is well mate

8)

i'm the only tool in my bus!

its the AA all the way for me i'm afraid the battery wire came off on the way to dub freeze i had no clue what was wrong!

luckily my mate was in the van who's a mechanic by trade so that saved an embarrasing call to the AA.
