Hi There,

Thought you guys may be interested,
Decal is a waterslide transfer not vinyl. (for the old gits it's the same as the old airfix kit decals) and looks real nice. This was the only way i could get the same look as the original.

I'm not aware of this much needed decal being availiable anywhere else and does really finish off the interior.
Contact me here or ebay westfalia_sparesuk

There £6.80 posted.

I've had some other decals off Stuart and they're bob on!

well done on these mate - I've got to have one of those - they're beautiful!!! pm on its way mate ;)

I'm scared of scratching it though, is there a laquer that I can use that won't wrinkle it up?

thought you guys might want to see mine in situ.Stuart was right when I asked him about lacquering, they are strong once in place, however I really did want mine set into the paint so I took a chance and lacquered over mine, thankfully the decal survived!!,however I recommend you don't knock thinners over onto the decal as it will screw it up (ask me how I know  ).Anyway I have put several coats on and the decal is very well protected now...

Looks really nice!
@Doris: May I ask where you got that nice shiny rubber trim?

Thanks - really pleased with it. The rubber trim was on it from new,I bought it from its original owner, only done 89k so the column has probably never been off.I've not seen one for sale anywhere either so I can't even point you in the right direction - Sorry :( . The part no. for the rubber trim is 211-415-645 if that's any help :?

Apologies for bringing back this thread - Does anyone know if Stuart still produces the decals? He does not appear to have signed on/in since April and there is nothing for sale on his ebay site.

Thanks

Nick

those look really great. i've just gone and bought one of the vinyl ones but if i'd seen these first, i'd be well on that. well done that man!

I can vouch for the quality of Stuarts column decal - excellent and as near to OG as you're going to get!
