Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum, it looks cool :)

Heres my new crewcab, its a rhd South African import, nigh on mint condition :D

It got its british plates today so I've been driving about all day, grinning like an idiot

Soooo many people pointing and waving One girl even ran up to the side of the road with her arms outstretched then pointing and shouting she loved it

Did find a few problems though, the battery isnt charging whilst its driving, indicators dont work, pulls to the right under braking and a bumpy ride (its been lowered).

But I reckon a weekend of tinkering and she'll be perfect

I'm a happy man

A little bit of fettlin this weekend and she'll be perfect :)

I've got big plans, but dont worry, nothing is going to get cut :)

tubdub, try http://www.thesamba.com, go onto the classifieds and do a search, theres loads of them on there :)

Oh, the little beetle thing in the back is a push along beetle for kids, it wasnt included in the sale though :(

very nice piece of kit, i really like the stock rims on it, kinda add to the "commercial" look

That rips fella! welcome to the forum, loving the crew cabs! 8)

I do have plans to modernise by adding toys, a respray, alloys, interior etc.

But I will be doing everything in such a way that it can be put back to standard if I ever wanted to. The interior is so original and mint if I do decide to recover I will get old seats and recover those, I'm not going to cut good seats.

I cant wait to get playing :D

It has already been lowered, it has one of those JK adjusters on the beam.

very very cool indeed...love the colour.

Where did you get the kids bettle from?? My son would love one!

wow that is fantastic! really good rare find. sounds like itll be easy to put right and looks solid as a rock. :D

They are the perfect unit, all business out the back and party time up front.
The riceburners have only cottoned on in the last few years what a versatile design they are. Early Japanese DCs were more truck than dual purpose. later stuff is more adaptable, but they are still behind the VWs IMO.
To hear you say that the ride is a bit bumpy due to lowering is a symphony in type dude.
Is the paint original? it looks like a super straight unit, congrats.
David
