Just found out my new narrowed beam doesn't come with steering idler stops or ,steering damper mounts ? Is this an issue ?
They are building clamp on idler stops and will supply them to me but I wont have a damper

Yes I wouldn't be happy with that, more so the steering damper.

Wheres the beam from?

I dont think mine has the stops, but they arent actually needed, but it has a damper mount.

T2d/slamweks as said there designing a clamp on idler stop which they are supplying free when ready as for the damper mount they have never used them in all there conversions so I'm happy with that .non of the guys I know have either

My beam has damper mounts fitted for both left and right handed fitment.

I'm sure the world won't end if you don't have one, but the beams did used to have them.

The damper does at it says on the tin - dampens down the motion of steering. I guess without it the van would be more twitchy and probably more noticeable when tram lining.

Are you are you haven't miss understood them, I only say this as my T2D beam has damper mounts.

No the beam I'm getting from them is effectivly a Slamwerks beam but as T2d's bought them out I have just called it a t2d beam .I think it's still the slam guys making them but for t2d ,I might be wrong but that was the impression I got from Paul .Im really not worried about a damper mount but will fit the idler stops when they finish making the new clamp on ones?I think the reason they havnt fitted fixed ones is because having clamp on ones allows you to get them in the right place ?

The T2d boys have never fitted dampers to there slamed buses and not had any issues ,and that's good enough for me ,plus I'm lucky if I see 3000 miles a year from my bus so not so worried as I just tend to potter around in it .

Why bother with your original post then?!

They may not fit them, but my beam, made by Slamwerks for T2D, has damper mounts

Oh and Moseley ,I had asked to begin with as wasn't sure but since this thread started ive since had helpful replys from members and spoken to Paul Again at T2d ,ok

Ahh that would explain it as they don't make 4" narrowed ball joint beams for t2's now only 3" .unless your using K&L then they still do them .
Cheers Ja
