Anybody know where i can find a new centre belly pan? as i'm going to replace that as well.

Might as well do it all properly if it's going to be done.

Cheers :D

The usual places....but trying to find some in good nick :?

I think its either no more rusty bits or riviera do fibre glass versions....that way you can fix with pop rivets or screws to enable access to keep an eye on the underside...

Right, after weighing up the positives and negatives and taking into account what Araon has said amongst a few others.

I'm thinking i'm going to leave the belly pans off and waxoil the entire van twice! hehe

My only concern with my van having a full length sun roof is strength and support, but i guess if i have enough supports welded in we should be fine

:!:

With some decent steel brace bars you'll likely get a stiffer bus anyway than with the belly pan....

No worries, to rebuild the main frame rails i've managed to source some reinforced steel, so i'm going to brace it up with that.

Belly pans definately staying off though. :D

Thanks for the help and advice all, i will keep you updated with pics of the progress.

Looking nice and solid again dude.I personally would have spent a little more time grinding back the welds but all looks cool 8)

Got 101 other things to worry about dude, lifes too short!

If it had been on show i would have done but i'm bolting outer belly pans back on so as long as it's 100% solid thats good with me.

Track down a bigger engine to get me up hills i think.

Well, Vans back and all sorted.

Had it back a couple of weeks now and since then i've cleaned it a couple of times.

Fitted an electric fuel pump, fitted new rock and roll bed, and a complete oil change.

Now i just need to change rear brake flexi hose and raise the rear suspension 1 spline.

Then it'll be ready for weekends in Woolly!

Well i've been out on the van all day today and have managed to get cussions covered for the bed and a table fitted.

Started running all new cables from battery's under rock and roll to cab area and lights etc. Plus Phonos for the stereo that's going in!

Some more piccies
