They should have pins on the back that fit into holes on the nose panel of your bus. I think if you have a replacement nose there are no holes. There are nylon bushes that press into the holes and the pins fit into them.

Got the piece of Deluxe trim yesteday Graham, thanks for delaying postage and part is good to go (after a polish!) Thanks, Clyde.

I have an early bay with a modified alan schofield front panel, which means that there is that bit sticking out the size of a later badge, which I have fitted.

it just does not look right - how do i fit an early badge over this recess>

hope this make sense?

You could always ask your local body shop to cut out the bump and weld in a smooth panel, it's not an easy job but plenty have done it so that they can then fit a 10" badge.

One of our fellow EarlyBayers did it on his bus - check out the pics here (although the mod was done off the bus lots of people have doen it in situ):

Good luck if you decide to take the plunge...

;)

Nasty job with the panel in situ! All the air box and wires etc behind it will need to be shielded from the heat. Rather you than me.

I think I will leave it as it is - dont fancy that welding at all for the sake of a bigger badge.

I may investigate having a metal one machined and a lip on it with re-chroming.[/img]
