I bought this switch and am happy with the seller - really nice guy - but did anyone spot the little detail - although this was not described as a switch for an early bay - it isn't!!
I did not realise that there were two variants of dash mounted switches - one for an early Beetle which fits a bay 68-72 - and one for a late beetle which does not fit the bay!

anyone wanting a dash mounted switch for an early bay might want to check the exact part number - i.e. 141 955 517 and not 141 955 517A
