Hi,

I wondered if anybody had any thoughts/suggestions.

I have recently had the engine in my bay out, stripped to the long block and replaced all the seals and gaskets .... Pushrod tubes seals, rocker cover seals, oil cooler seals (all four), alternator stand and filler gaskets, fuel pump gasket, dizzy o ring, oil pump cover gasket, sump cover gaskets and washers and the crankshaft mainsail and o ring.

Having got everything back together I have evidence of a drip on the thermostat bracket at the nut fixing. The push rod seals and tubes above are all dry. There is evidence of a little oil wetting around one of the case bolts and it looks like the oil may be tracking down perhaps from higher up. I think it is a pressure induced leak as the drip does not continue when standing.

With the oil cooler on the other side of the engine and the base of the alternator stand appearing dry, I can't think where it might be tracking from.

Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated.

Tim
