A little puddle forms under rear wheel, I've pulled the wheel off and the whole brake assembly is wet and greasy. Liquid has also sprayed up the wheel arches, (and hasn't evaporated).

There is no obvious seepage from hub or brake cylinder - though if I wiggle the brake plunger a bit it does sound wet and dribble a tiny amount...

Is that proof the slave cylinder needs replacing...

Before I dive in blind does anyone have any ideas...

Thanks very much, and apologies for this problem not being on the bus !

There's no rubbers on the end of the cylinders. I would say the cylinders are leaking and need replacing including rubber seals. Has the level dropped in your brake fluid reservoir?

You could strip, rebuild and regrease them, but to be honest for the price they cost, you might as well replace just in case they are worn or scored which will only end up in another leak occurring.
