Technical?? :?
Sort of I guess???

Anyway, 1971 rear arches, different to all the rest!!
Every day is a school day
Where would I find such a thing then??.
Or do I just modify a late arch??.

How you guys managed it????

You have to buy the early type i think there the same as a split.
Then you have to modify the upright section by taking a paper template and cutting to the shape at the bottom them bingo it will fit!

my 71 had late arches, only found this out after trying to modify an early one. late ones should go straight on,
crossovers had their own type.

If it was getting 2 arches I think I'd just put late ones on, but it's only getting one!
I'd have thought it'd be easier to modify a late one than an early???

Yep same as one above!!

Early ones are straight with a little lip at the bottom.
71 is flared but rounded at the bottom.
Late is flared but with a sewage line across the bottom.

Hi mate,

I have the same arches and dilemma. I'd only ever seen early and late arches and thought someone had reformed my arches for whatever reason. Loads of people said I had the wrong arches on, but now thanks to you I know different!
Anyway, Ive already bitten the bullet and got some late arches to weld in(klassicfab). I thought they might be more original looking with the flare, rather than flat as in early ones. Also thought they might give more wheel clearance. Hopefully they'll fit ok.
What did you do in the end?

I have bought KF arches recently (direct from KF in the end as C and C never got them in) and the quality and accuracy of pressing is very very good. Makes you realise just how bad klokkencrappen ones are - totally the wrong profile flare as well as too thin, badly pressed etc. Only wish Autocraft do them as I would rather buy British!

Ive still got this collecting dust if its of use? Its off a crosser ('72) but if you are going to modify it will better than a Klokkershit panel. Make me an offer.

I ended up going for the very expensive route which was 2 whole brazilian panels, the finish is brilliant but my wallet took a beating:
