hello all

can anyone tell me the type of radio that would have been found in 1970 devon conversion

i know that this isn't the most tech question but it seemed the best place to post

I very much doubt it would have had one as a stock item.
 
They were fitted either by a dealer but usually after market. Here in the UK we fitted either Radiomobile, PYE, Philips or on rare occasion Blaupunkt or Motorola. The main issue was cost, a car radio was a weeks wages, let alone the fitting involved.
 
all radios were an optional accessory on buses, i would guess it would be a blaupunkt munich/emden with U/M/L as they were all produced around 1965-72.
 
my Aug 1970 instruction manual shows the following 3 radio options, in descending order

Braunschweig model with 5 tuning press buttons, 2xU (VHF), 2xM, 1xL
Emden model with 3 waveband press buttons, U, M & L
Wolfsburg model with 2 waveband press buttons, M & L

all were, I think, mono, and here's a pic of my Emden installed, and running my ipod thro the aux socket at back of radio
