I had a solar shower for a while but used it only the one weekend in about three or four years. It was like a large plastic bag with a pipe and spray unit on the end. It was black and I’m guessing that was to attract the sun. It had just gravity to feed the sprayer. Justin gave it to me then I gave it back to him. So the idea was that you filled the bag with water in the morning, then chucked it on your roof rack throughout the day to heat up. On a hot sunny day it was just the ticket to freshen you up and get them pits gleaming. I washed my hair with it too but just as well I don’t have too much hair cus I didn’t have too much water to rinse it either. The second time was a bit better, hot day, down to boxers, dampened me hair and torso, shampooooed the hair and foamed the pits, rinsed and towelled down then clean as clean could be. After that I’ve relied on the wet wipes and a Pommy shower then proper jobby at home before I head up the pub. But nothing as clever as ^^^ I’d camp in a campsite every so often with showers if I’m out on a week long expedition with me bruv etc.🦨

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, Sounds like you got too much space in your van :)

Hi

Anyone built a shower using an on demand gas water heater and pump plus bucket of water..? I'm thinking these two items might make a good starting point.

Please share any experiences. Cheers.
Hi James,
I have a shower which connects to either my gas supply on board or an external bottle. The water is supplied by using a caravan water
container that you can tip onto it's side and pull around with a removable handle.

Yes they might be expensive, however I did a load of shopping around and found what I needed at good prices.
I have a copper tube which I attach the shower head to, and place the water on the base so it doesn't fall over, which is then placed through the top entrance https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19420656...UGCD0hBL8|tkp:Bk9SR5CZofHZZA&var=494292008859
of a very cheap tent to shower in and we stand in a large flat type bucket so not to pollute.

Sorry no pic's. Hope this helps.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,You knowsss we luvs pics :) :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO: :)

They work really well in hotter climes, my dad has one in his garden in Spain, you'd be surprised, nothing fancy needed just a black tube and the sun. The tube is pressurised with a pump just like the windscreen washers on your bus..... Plenty of youtube videos showing you how to make one out of a 4" waste pipe and a few fittings
