Hi,

Right then me bus has at some point has a spray job on the bottom half and only on one side wierdly!

From the back and one side it looks the same paint work but from one side at the front you can really tell and it really bugs me!

I cant really afford a whole van spray job so what are the options?

I thought t cut might brighten the front up a bit? Or i thought about a van bib to cover it up?

Dave

You can try mopping up the old paint to match, but realistically you will probably end up spraying the whole bus to get it to look right.

Take it to someone who has a proffesional mop and knows how to use it first.

Dave,

I know where your coming from as it used to bug me things like that in the past but now i've learnt to accept and ignore little faults.

If you want a perfect bus it will cost an arm and a leg and at the same time you will be **** scared of using it in case it gets damaged.

Mine has loads of little inperfections but most people don't notice as they don't own the van and see them like you do and I don't care any more.

In the end it's up to you, but you already have a cracking van as it is.

try a little T-cut it aint gonna cost you an arm and a leg but may just take a little of the contrast out...

I know what you mean dude i use to own a really nice leon cupra and i hated parking it anywhere.

I love the van but like you say its hard to let the little things go!

Maybe next time i'll go for a rat van! I really wanted an original paint bus but there pretty rare these days!

I do love me bus though, decided to fit a 1303 gear box to give me some more top end crusing speed.

Try buffing or t-cut which will clean it and make it look a bit better match, but don't worry too much about it it's a tidy looking van and you can't see both sides at once

Steve

id be pretty happy with that as it is. do you camp in it or is it show and shine? personally i wouldnt worry like kempy says.

bought it for going to shows and festivals and obviously to spend all my spare time and money money on so its not going in any show and shine!

it just bugs me but I think i'll have to let go on the perfectionist side of things cos the ****** van cover is rubbing paint off left right and centre anyway lol.

thanks for the compliments though peeps i might have a little crack at the t-cut see what that does and leave it be after.

got a whole set of new window rubbers to fit now then a 1303 box so plenty to keep me busy.

and the ongoing search for a bloody garage to continues!

Dave

i have a 1303s box on the way too, are you fitting the kit from Tim? and are you gonna try it yourself? if so take some pics. My box wont be going in for a while as im not expecting to be finished until next year.

alright Jonny

nope i wont be putting it in myself i'm useless and i was planning on getting the kit from Tim to i'll prob get him to fit it to be honest!

Just been over to see Gadget and i know he adapted the box himself saving 300 quid but he seems to really know his ****!

Looking forward to crusing at 70

Dave
