Paint Stripping

Hi. I'm gonna start stripping the van shortly .... it's a right old mess and needs taking back to bare metal even if it's just to find the rust. What paint stripper is best? Nitromors? Or should I just use a sander and do it all by hand? ... It's going to need a lot of new panels!

angle grinder with wire brush...hard work but comes up nice....

...no as hard as using a razor blade like I'm doing on my splitty to chip off all the 'modern' paint to reveal og :roll:

heat gun and a scrapper is working well for me

recently discovered that meths softens up paint quite nice

P80 on a DA is the safest way. Too much heat build up will warp your panel. This has all been covered in a thread, in detail, quite recently if you have a search for it.

stripping disk on an angle grinder works for me, down to bare metal in no time
