Passenger and drivers doors and fitment 68 through 79

Hello all
I have a 69 Westphalia - Im rebuilding ? restoring -- i have a question on the drivers and passenger doors--
I have been told the middle to late bay doors don't fit the early bay buses,
Visually they appear similar and the door skins are the same for all model years

I am curious as to what the differences are if any --

The locks are different, but they will work, its the hinges that are different. You could get hinge conversion kits that would make them interchange ... I presume you still can?
