Bartons point on Sheppey isn't too bad, £12 for a pitch, your camped beside a big lake with a boat house that does good food, you can hire peddalos, there's a mini golf course, mini steam railway and its only a short walk to the beach. Can get a bit windy though as it's a bit open.

This was us last weekend.

No problem. 8)

Be sure to check if anything is going on the weekend you decide to book, sometimes they have pirates down there walking the plank for charity etc, good fun but might do your head in after a while. :D

Theres a place called Little Switzerland in Folkestone, i camped here with my son last weekend for the first time. Theres a sandy beach and small harbour nearby, good fish and chips, Dover Castle is a stones throw too.

If you want peace & tranquility, I can recommend a new site called The Sunny Field, near Cantebury. Very wild camping.

The owners have just opened this site so it is very basic right now but the quiet country setting is awesome & the owners are delightful. Couldn't do more to help.

They do have a swimming pool at the house, probably with other facilities but we didn't need to use them.

Campfires & dogs allowed, they will bring wood & kindling, as well as dig the pit.
