Hello!

I'm basically a new member here. I'm looking for our old pickup that my father bought in 1971 from Totton, Southampton. It is (was?) Neptune Blue registration YCG 374J.

Can anyone put me in touch with the owner? I would love to see it (buy it back?) again...

I would be most grateful for any information.

Many thanks

Sadly, it appears it hasnt been taxed or tested since at least 1988/1989.

It may have been scrapped, used as a donor vehicle, or tucked away somewhere and not SORN. Either way, it hasnt been declared to the DVLA. A private plate swap would leave this as not on the system - but it still is.

On the brighter side, it may have been exported! Could be in Aus, SA, NZL etc. But again, not declared to the DVLA. Fingers crossed for you!

Hi Stevie!

I much appreciate the information and the effort you have put in. I was told about the website and how helpful/informative it can be. You are certainly upholding this reputation!

I will be keeping a vigil on this site and, who knows, I might be tempted to take the plunge and track down another one. I learned to drive in our old pickup and used it for work for many years. I currently have a T3 Westfalia with a diesel motor...
Not the same..!

Thanks again.

Kind regards

Keith
