Piston to head face seal

Hi all

just got a mates split to fix that's had a funny popping noise

located the source which is coming from were the head an barrel mate.. its blowing under acceleration
was just wondering is there something out there you can place between them to help seal the gap or is it a new head or barrels

probably needs a simple grinding paste action to reseal

once stripped down just use valve paste to get even 'ring' of paste - then the usual care and attention on retorqueing the heads down.

I'd check the studs aren't pulling out of the case whilst you're there....

and of course before you do anything check for cracks on the head.
