poppin lights wipers to fast etc

hi the problems i am faced with is from time to time my lights pop or go realy bright and my wipers go very fast also my stereo cuts out as any one got any ideas where to start i think its shorting out or could it be the voltage convertor on the blink lost for ideas

If your regulator is at fault, then don't drive the bus until it's fixed. If the voltage is excessive then you run the risk of boiling the battery and you really don't want to know what boiling sulphuric acid is like when the battery explodes.

Do you have a dynamo or an alternator?
The only reason i ask is i've just converted to an alternator so i have a fully working dynamo regulator for sale if your interested.

Dont I know it, managed to properly boil my battery a few weeks ago, due to an engine rebuild utilising a 2nd hand alternator with a duff regulator, battery lost all its fluid & was still hot after several hours.
After working out what was wrong it all seemed so obvious - lights were actually useful at night & the wipers seemed to be working really well :lol:
Got a replacement from GSF online with free delivery - seemed to be the cheapest I could find.
