Although very popular, there seems to be a common problem with the Fiamma bike racks causing a leak in the rear doors due to the deformation they cause to the rubbers. I remember reading on this or another forum that someone suggested using a strip of magnetic plastic as a rainwater diverter (the type sign makers use), roughly 75-100mm deep and the width of the van. This can be placed hard upto the underside of the roof gutter and over the top of the 2 brackets. They could also be trimmed around the brackets to give a neater finish. A great idea and one I have no intention of taking the credit for.

As the material will be cut from a full size sheet it probably wont be practical to obtain competitive prices for all the colour variations in order to colour match to vans so lets assume they will be either white or black. I've just approached a sign maker I use to get a quotation for a bulk purchase but before we both waste time on this, I'd like to gauge how much interest there would be.

So, please let me know if such a product was available, would you be interested in buying one if the price was reasonable? A prototype will be made to prove effectiveness.
