Having only just noticed the bulkbuy order in the sale/wanted section - doh  - and getting fed up with waiting for JK to get more info about their 'in-built' Propex system, I have just ordered a propex from Bluebird.

I'm interested in using the existing windscreen vents etc, and I know you can get a 'kit' to do this, but does anyone have any pics, or ideas about what pipe routing one can use to achieve this - most boat chandlers sell the various 'Y' and 'V' shaped pipes I think you need, so shouldn't be rocket science to do myself....

Secondly - best place to buy the gas bottles from, and get the copper pipe work sorted...local caravan/camping shop?

some helpful info brought together...

what is said is that the vents into the rear of the van are ineffective if you are trying to heat the front of the bus and would require the installation of an additional fan to provide enough pressure to heat the back of the van so block them off.

My plan is to plumb the air from the Propex under the rear bench seat directly into the van rear and also into the central collector via the rear vents to feed the front of the bus so no modification is required to the pipe work infront of this. Ive no idea how the central collector is configured but it should be possible to modify or remove it to rearrange the flow of air to the front. I will be doing a full check of all the pipe work forward of the collector and insulating where i can.

Cheers guys.
I have already insulated all my pipes (as you know :D) - just trying to decide where I want my outlets for the propex really. I know many put it under the rear seat, I want to make sure a) the cab keeps warm and b) the vents are not too buried under our bed when it is open (bed is all in cab, not into the boot like many)
It is the piping that is involved with pumping th epropex heat into the front pipe work for the windsrcreen/feet vents that I am interested in.
Basically, I want to see how this kit here works!

With that you fit j tubes and remove the central collector, definitely more expensive on the butane as you wont get any heat from the engine and you'll need to run the propex to get any heat.

I suppose it depends if you plan to run your van alot in the winter.

then it must use the central collector as there looks to be only one Y section? i cant figure out how its plumbed as its mentions removing the ogee central pipe.

Just got a reply to the above ebay sale and he sells just the ducting with and without HEX fitting....

i have a 1600, they dont make 'em anymore, i wonder would it be strong enough to run heating to the front screen...
