Hi guys,

I was reading the "say hello to the beeglebus"-thread and I need to ask you guys something.

In this pic you see the metal/alloy/aluminum thing separating/holding the pieces of birch.

Did it come with the bus originally or how do you get it?

Thanks guys 8)

I'm just in the middle of doing this to my bus :)

As my bus was a kombi and not originally a westy, I've had to source the aluminium 'J' channels and 'I' section trims as no VW parts supplier does them. I got mine from Gooding Aluminium in London.

Here you go :)

Perimeter trims -
http://www.goodingalum.com/product-info/pdfs/GA_Panel_Fix.pdf
product code GA WP1. This comes in 2500mm lengths.

'I' sections between ply sheets -
http://www.goodingalum.com/product-info/pdfs/GA_Architectural_Profiles.pdf
product code GA W01. Its on the 2nd page down of the pdf. This comes in 4000mm lengths so is enough to do the two pieces you'll need.

I'll be installing mine this weekend so I'll let you know how I get on.

For the headlining ply to fit these channels, use 1.5mm thick ply.

There is a hefty delivery charge on these channels too
