Yeah ;)

But for moving my own van on the weekend I am actually planning to use a long plank of wood which I can shuffle along behind the wheels as necessary. Much bigger target to aim for and sticks out wider than the bus so can be nudged along as needed... at least that's the theory any way

Remind me; does your garage have a lip on the floor to clear?

Still reckon you should just whip the pop top off and roll it in on rubber!

Garage does have a concrete lip which will be removed - will add rubber (or something) to the bottom of the garage door.

If I whip the pop top off I will have no where to store it :(

How steep is steep?

I think I would go for the lots of bodies, change wheels at the tops and have someone to hand with some portable brakes - Bricks

Fairly steep (wouldn't know how to measure - could be around 15 degrees....)
Keeping an eye out for old steel wheels and will use these so not too bothered if I knacker them.

Will use lots of bodies, problem is, whenever you mention pushing a 2 tonne van up an incline on steel wheels, everyone disappears - don't know why

...inside the van?

P.S. got a pair of old steels (on tyres) you can pinch / butcher if needs be.

If I do that, good chance of knackering it - plus need to do repairs on the inside so will make it difficult.

But, keep on thinking outside the box chaps - anyone got a teleporter I could use???

What about stashing it back on top of the van, in place, when it is inside?

Tyres will still need to be removed to allow the pop top to be put back on.
I think you are right though - if could probably get the van in the garage if the pop top is not on with just taking the air out of the tyres. (the pop top fittings are just screwed in, but the canvas is under some tension so might need a new canvas after.....)

Once in the garage I am sure I could find a way of storing the top.......

Keep it coming.

Only pic I can find is this one:

Wife's car on the drive in front of the garage - camper van to the right of it.

Any help?

I've a set of old wide 5's you can have if you can get anyone to collect from down south

Cheers - bus is a X-over so need 112 PCD.

It looks possible to take the pop top off and put it in the garage first on its side on the right hand side of the garage, then slap it back on when the bus is in. Have you got any brakes at all ??

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,, Don`t look that steep :msn4: :msn4: :msn4:

Could be right Ozzie. Though need to raise the van slightly in the garage once in so won't be able to put the pop top back on!
The off-side front caliper is stuck on so would have to freed first - hand brake does work OK though.

Will wait for the winds to die down before dismantling the top I think but will carry out some measuring first just to make sure.
