Ok guys, if you start to see me posting random early bay specification facts on everyones threads it will be because I have jsut received (& read cover to cover)
The transporter & microbus specification guide 1967-1979.

Its got M-codes, year by year spec/colour/etc changes for all model types - a buffers dream come true :lol:

Anyone got a factory black roof (a 71 model year only option)????

Some one else has bought the same bible I have :mrgreen: its great, very geeky. I got mine to decode my van at Volksworld last year and have so far decoded over 20 vans from EB and our local VW club :wink:

I think it may well have been you recommending it on one of the m-code translation threads that made me get it :D

Oh dear....this is getting a bit nerdy. :roll: Nevertheless......if I give you the numbers etc on the plate on the bulkhead behind the drivers seat - are you going to give me some fascinating information about my van? :lol:

Yep I was given both books the Christmas before last. :D

The Transporter and Microbus spec guide has come in very handy many times already!

Book doesnt mention that, it does say that 72 is a one year only decklid & has pics - dont tell me the books wrong :cry: Ive been quoting it all over the place already.....
