I've been replacing my front suspension and rear brakes so thought I might as well renew the brake fluid as I'd be disconnecting most of the brake system. Everything is back together now but i can't seem to bleed the rear passenger (LHD) brake, when I get someone to press on the pedal and then open the bleed nipple no air or fluid is coming out. I opened the reservoir and jammed the brake pedal down over night but still no luck.

All the other brakes bled fine, the bus is an import so I'm not sure on the age of the hoses, just wanted to see if there is anything else I can try before buying a new set.

You could try using an easy bleed.
That should push fluid through.

I'm a second one for the Gunson easy bleed it's very handy and enables 1 man bleeding.

Thirded- although mine leaks air like buggery, I've got it hooked up to a regulator set at 20psi and a compressor... I just leave it on, crack open the bleed nipple and wait for the inevitable :)

I think I`d loosen the hose first and see if you`re getting fluid out of the pipe end because you can bleed to your hearts content but if the hose is blocked or the nipple is blocked, it just won`t happen.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,, I love the Gunson too

Could be the hose damaged inside so it blocks the fluid coming out.
Had the same problem :(

yeah, undid the flexi and no fluid was coming out, also ran my finger along the flexi and could feel bulges so think I'll just replace all of them to be sure. Undecided on whether to buy the easy bleed as well.

What area do you live in ????? I`m in Bristol, if you can pop round ,, I`ll let you borrow mine so long as you brings it back. Maybe you is near someone that has one ? Once you`ve used one, you won`t ever bother doing it any other way.

I've always wondered what pressure people use the ezbleed kits at. I've always used mine at really low pressures, like 5-6psi, because the pipe from reservoir to M/C is 'non pressure containing'.

That was always my reservation - I own one but don't use it on the van for this reason. For the sake of having to go to the hassle of using the 2 man method to bleed, I'd personally rather not risk spraying the bowels of the inner nose of the bus with brake fluid.

That was the downside for me as well. It tells you to use low pressure and I used to let my spare down a bit to use it. But,,,,,,,,,,,,, I got so many wheels and tyres now, there is always at least one that is nearly flat  If you was a real panicker    You could always wrap it with a sandwich bag :p Maybe it`s just me being a sad and lonely old bloke  But I don`t got no one to help me with the pumping and stuff, unless you count she who must be obeyed who has the patience of a whippet with his nuts crushed in a g cramp

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Much safer not to upset her me finks

I haven't ever had an issue with the pipe popping of or bursting.
If you are concerned about the fluid getting onto your paint and striping it keep a bowl of water in reach so if it dose spill tip the water on it straight away and it will neutralise the brake fluid.
Then you can mop up or blow out with an airline.
