Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble fitting my rear bumper splash pans....
I've got some splash pans and also bought this kit from C&C:
http://www.customandcommercial.com/...id=1332&Sub_Category=1364&group=&category=210

I found this post which shows the pans fitting nice against both the inside of the bumper and against the body
http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9471&hilit=splash+rear

However, when I try and put it all together, I've got big gaps!

As these pics, show, if I have the bumper coachbolt tight, then the pan doesn't go anywhere near the iron. I think one side at least of the bumper is a few inches away from the body but the otherside is tightish. I've seen in my parts catalogue (from 1992) that there is a spacer between the bracket and the corner coachbolt. Yet there is no spacer in the post above... :? And if there is a spacer then the rubber seal won't be near the bumper :?
At the moment the rear bumper if off so I'll put it back on and try and take a pic of each corner..however
HELP!
Any ideas anyone?
Also, need to sort that rust out on the inside...what's the best way? powdercoat or black chassis paint?

I think your splashpans may be wrong , they look different to the ones on my 69

I've just looked at my ebay history and they were advertised as '72 splash pans...
Now why,ffs, did I buy for a '72 when I've got a '70

whooops. Maybe someone wants to do a swap!!
