Rear bumpers what's the difference between 68-71 & 72 only??

As the title says what's the difference between 68-71 and 72 only rear bumpers?? And I guess the next question is how hard is it to mod a 68-71 bumper to fit a 72?? Do you mod the bumper or the mounts?

i think just the mounting holes for the bumper brackets are in different spots. bumper brackets are different too.

Bumper brackets on a 72 fit further apart I think due to the changes made to the chassis to take the type 4 lump and as tubdub has already said the brackets themselves are different, shorter in length from memory and slightly fatter/squarer design.
