In my own little world;-)
Noticed when I got back from Stanford hall that my drivers side (LHD) rear wheel was very hot, to the point I couldn't keep my hand on it!
All the other three were just a little walk.

What could be the reason for this and how should I sort it???

Cheers.

Jack up the back of the bus and check your drums aren't binding
If the one that got hot is dragging it will cause a build up of friction
Fingers crossed all you will need to do is back of the brake shoes using the star adjuster and you should be fine 8)

Most likely to be a sticking rear cylinder as they do suffer from corrosion and build-up of gunk over time. Once the wheel is stripped down, try pushing the pistons back into their bores by hand - they should move freely.

Not forgetting it could also be a wheel bearing guys......
Yup, mine got hot shortly before the bearing gave out :(

Am I correct in thinking you have adjustable spring plates and are running pretty low ?
If so it would be worth check your hand break.
Remember that when you jack the van up it will release the hand break so you will need to see if it feel like the brakes are dragging when you push the bus.

I had noticed the hand break felt shorter!
Jacking up the rear today to have a look.

Cheers Sam.

I had this problem once and it was caused by an internally clogged flexi hose which was letting the hydraulic fluid to the brake cylinder under pedal pressure but wouldn't let it return easily. Thus keeping the brake "on" even though I took my foot off the pedal ages ago.
worth a look if it's not one of the other problems already stated,
Good luck sorting it!
