Hi all, my daughter needs a new engine for her 1970 beetle, can anyone recomend a good recon engine supplier please

A Laurie Pettit engine would be great but she cant afford a custom built one, she was thinking along the lines of
The Engine Shop or Volkspares, any reports on these would help

I had T.E.S (the engine shop) align bore a case for me.It seems fine so far.Although I've only bench tested it at this stage.It should be going in properly this week.But they seem to know there stuff and where helpful over the phone and in person.
