removing the dash

just got a 1971 dormobile. the top front of the dash (metal) is very scruffy. can this be removed independently of everything else? if so how?

yes it can be done, but its not easy.
You have to take out the screws by the windscreen, Easy part.
And the nuts from the inside of the dash, the ones who holds the padded edge and the panic handle
