One of my steels is quite badly pitted on the inside. Not crazy but not sure if it will hold air or not?
What can I do to the wheel to sort this problem?

The steel used on wheels is usually a good few mm thick, unless the pitting is really bad I cannot imagine it would affect the structural strength of the wheel or its ability to hold air.

However, I would probably take a knot wire brush to it to remove any corrosion, then assess the material which is left. That would also give you a clean base to repaint if they look OK.

Post some photos up, it might help?

WHS ^^

If it's a '71 onwards van (5x112mm stud pattern) then the wheels are so common I wouldn't waste your time trying to repair anything especially crusty...

The wheels are 15" Splity steels 5x205's
After sandblasting there not liking too bad, I've gave them a couple of coats of hammerite on the inside and will try on a tyre and see.
The dude I bought them from said they held air when he had them so can't see why they won't work
