Having just purchased a '69 Danbury, it appears to have been made from a Kombi (panel van?). I am about to cut out the seals for window removal for painting. Can these be purchased separetely? The only ones I spotted were for micro buses with the original windows.

Thanks

Hi

Kombis and microbus are more or less the same thing and so will have factory windows fitted.
My 70 Danbury has factory windows. If yours has an opening quarter light on the sides (e.g. sliding door - assuming it hasn't been changed) then it should be factory. Also if it
has seatbelt mounts on the rear arches (indicating not a panel van)you should also be safe - might be hidden under rotting carpet if still original Danbury though .

How about some pics :)

Superb. Definately not a panel van then. That's good to hear ;-)

Still would love to see photos of how the hammocks work as I have none ;-(

Thanks

If the glass is curved and flush with the side of the van it's a panel van conversion.
If the glass is flat and the windows are recessed it's factory conversion.
The rubbers are different for both types so you'll need to get the right ones.

have you seen this..

If you can wait, i'll try and remember to take some photos of the bunks in mine. I'm going away soon though (not in the bus) and am pretty busy before i go so if you could be patient...or i'm sure someone else will be able to help.

Thanks for that. That's appreciated. I think the chance of me finding any hammocks will be slim, but I will keep searching!
