Hi all.

I'm guessing it's just a case of removing the heater knobs and unscrewing the dash to gain access to the dash board bulb, or is it a bit more technical than that?

Unscrew the cable from the back of the speedo as well ;)

Make sure you turn off ignition/lights first - sounds daft but the back of the instrument panel is live and a screwdriver on this and brushed against the metal of the dash will blow a fuse  - I wanted to test it before putting back in and managed to turn a 5 minute job into a fault finding exercise :D

I was pleased with it, and only cost a few quid in parts from maplins - looks more blue in the flesh!

Sorry mate no, it was a kind of, "I'll give it a go to see if it works" one Sunday afternoon - and it did!

These are the LED's that I used from Maplins, I cut them up to rows of 4 (from memory), 2 rows around the speedo and one around the fuel guage. Wired the feed from the existing bulbs, which I did leave in place - just in case!

Quite a straightforward job if you are handy with a soldering iron, and easy with the guages out and on a bench.

The dimmer works too :)

I believe you can get direct replacement LEDs for the stock bulb fittings, haveacamper got some for his Porsche gauges but think they are similar fittings - will get him to post up some more info & where he got them from.
