Replacing oil drain studs

I know you can replace the oil drain studs with stepped ones when the case is stripped but what about the one that goes through the case and holds the oil pickup with a nut? This one is stripped on mine and a stepped stud is too short. Do I have to helicoil?

If you can find one a 3/16 bsf(or is that 1/4? cant remember) will tap out a 6mm thread as its a few thou bigger .Tip from my local motor bike repair shop as common on old jap stuff.any old car restorers by you for stud and nuts and a tap.
